Archive for October, 2008

This was during making of the TrackRunner’s music video, “Hands Up,” single. I was again invited by the band to document and take advantage of some scene shots for their archiving. It was an entire weekend of hustling and bustling of cameras, lights, camcorders, music, extras and good times. It was my first music video cover and was lucky enough to do my 5 second cameo… haha! That was cool.

Jaime and David

October 26, 2008

On Saturday 25th, 2008. I covered Jaime and David’s day of becoming one at the most beautiful and sunny day of Sonoma County, Santa Rosa. It was a fun filled day full of love and support from family and friends. On the way up to Sonoma, thank God that it wasn’t too much traffic driving up, but I do feel sorry for the ones that were going south.

Randy and Jason

October 18, 2008

I never thought I would be covering a Gay couple’s wedding, well not this soon anyway, but I guess things just happen to fall into place and for a reason. I was really stoked and honored when they had asked me to do it. Though it was a little unconventional in comparison to a typical wedding it went really well. The ceremony was super fast and getting set up and knowing where to shoot seemed almost non-existent. What really counted was that I was able to grab the couple for some intimate some shots prior to their reception at a bit more controlled environment.

After working on this, I began to realize why wedding photographers, etc are so costly. It’s the craziness of the event and working on the hundreds of photos taken during the day is the same amount of work as to when shooting the entire event. Really is pretty exhausting, so why do I do it if you may ask? I enjoy it! If I keep doing this, I hope to get better and find a good system when it comes to weddings, regardless of the situation. There is a lot of credit that needs to go to good and creative photographers and I will be just like them.

Espitia Family

October 8, 2008

I am finally finding a little bit more time from the business of the holiday chaos to update my blog.

This is another wonderful family that I had a chance to work with in Los Gatos, Ca. This is the Espitia Family. Very fun, generous and welcoming. Again, they had put the stamp to why I really enjoying working on family portraits. Seeing the joy each individual contributes to one big lumpsome of happiness. Thanks for letting me cover your beautiful sunny California day with your entire family :D !

Jeremy wanted me to snap a few photos for his own personal archiving and we thought that night shots was the way for this particular shoot.
